The GiveOut 100 Circle

The GiveOut 100 Circle recognises our founding donors who are giving regularly at the level of £100+/month, helping us to create a sustainable source of support for the global struggle for LGBTQI human rights. This inner circle of supporters will receive regular impact updates on their donations, hear first-hand from the activists they are supporting, learn about LGBTQI human rights worldwide and have a shaping voice in our work.

Around the world, members of our community face appalling human rights abuses for who they are and who they love. There are many incredible activists and organisations working to defend our community and campaign for equality, but they are woefully under-resourced. They receive a tiny fraction of international development aid and, with the surge in right wing populism, the support that is available is fragile.

That is why we established GiveOut, to enable those of us who can afford to do so – here in the UK and elsewhere – to give in one place to help provide the resources that the LGBTQI rights movement needs so urgently.

Through a rigorous process of consultation, due diligence and vetting, and through working with existing activist-led grant-making organisations, we identify which LGBTQI organisations to support. 

And we are already having impact. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we awarded grants to 15 LGBTQI activist organisations in our first year and will be announcing our second portfolio of grants in early 2020. 

We are asking supporters to join the GiveOut 100 Circle by committing to give regularly at the level of £100+/month. We want to harness the power of our community, pooling our resources in solidarity to provide long-term support for LGBTQI human rights activism around the world. 

 As part of the 100 Circle, members will receive updates on the impact of their donations, be invited to regular briefings and purpose-driven events to learn about the struggle for LGBTQI human rights, hear first-hand from the activists they are supporting, and have a shaping voice in our work.
