Wanja Ngure

Wanja Ngure is a Kenyan feminist human-rights and social-justice practitioner with over 18 years of experience advancing gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and movement-led initiatives across Eastern Africa. She serves as Grants Manager and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at UHAI-EASHRI, Africa’s first activist-led feminist fund, where she oversees participatory grantmaking, strategic resourcing, and partnerships with grassroots and regional actors. Wanja brings expertise in philanthropy and policy advocacy, community organizing, and movement building, alongside policy-informed programming and organizational strengthening, with a focus on accountable funding practices and sustainable movement ecosystems. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights and is a Human Rights Advocates Program Fellow at Columbia University.
