The Queer Muslim Project is an award-winning cultural platform and South Asia’s leading digital network for queer and diverse voices, with a growing global community of over 70,000 people. Through artist development programmes, digital and cultural production, festival showcases, and convenings, the organisation centres and uplifts the voices, talent, and leadership of underrepresented LGBTQI communities in South Asia and beyond. Key programmes include Language is a Queer Thing, an international poetry exchange supported by British Council, The Queer Writers’ Room, and the QueerFrames Screenwriting Lab, supported by Netflix. At the heart of the organisation’s work is a commitment to creating sustainable pathways for queer, Muslim, and intersectional perspectives to shape public discourse, influence media, and challenge dominant narratives.
