Mayako Pahichan was founded by the first same-sex couple in Nepal to register their marriage following the temporary ruling by the Supreme Court. Aside from advocating for the matrimonial rights of LGBTQI individuals, the organisation aims to increase the visibility and inclusion of LGBTQI individuals in the political arena, provide education targeted at the judiciary to foster greater understanding of LGBTQI rights, and collaborate with policymakers to promote equality.
