Ryan Silverio (they/them) is a gender queer and human rights activist from the Philippines.
Ryan has more than 20 years’ experience in human rights work, specifically in the areas of research and documentation, human rights education, advocacy, and organisational development. Ryan is currently the Regional Coordinator of ASEAN SOGIE Caucus (ASC), leading the organisation’s mandate in supporting local organisations’ engagement with human rights mechanisms.
They are also a member of the Board of Trustees of Philippine Human Rights Information Centre (Philrights). They obtained a Master of Arts in Human Rights degree from Mahidol University.
