GiveOut, the award-winning community foundation working to grow giving to support LGBTQI human rights activists worldwide, has appointed Bruna Gil to its Board of Trustees.
Bruna Gil joined LinkedIn in 2015, and currently leads the Channel Sales business in EMEA. She is a passionate and vocal advocate for LGBTQI rights in the workplace, holding multiple leadership roles over the past six years at Out@In (LinkedIn’s LGBTQ+ Network), and more recently stepping up as Global Co-Chair for the network. Bruna has featured in the OUTstanding list of Emerging Leaders for four years running and has twice been shortlisted for the British LGBT Awards under the Diversity Hero and Future Leader categories.
“I grew up in Brazil, a country that leads the world in LGBTQ+ violence and has a long way to go towards equality. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to move abroad, but that’s not an option for everyone. I’m passionate about GiveOut’s mission because of its impact in countries like the one I grew up in. As a trustee, I’d love to contribute to its continued growth and success in funding the fight for equal rights around the globe.”
