Radhika Piramal

Radhika Piramal is the Vice Chairperson & Executive Director of VIP Industries. She has held this role since 2017, prior to which she was Managing Director of VIP from 2010 to 2017. VIP Industries Ltd. is India’s #1 Luggage Company and a publicly listed company.

Under Radhika’s leadership, VIP’s market capitalization grew from $150Mn in 2010 to over $1Bn in 2023. Over the course of a decade, she revitalized VIP through several brand launches, made it relevant to the next generation of Indian consumers, and steered it through its steep downturn and subsequent recovery through the covid pandemic. Her teams would call her management style bold, energetic, empowering and transparent.

Outside of VIP, Radhika worked as a management consultant with Bain & Company in New York from 2006 to 2008. She currently serves as a non-executive independent board director for publicly listed Indian hospitality company Chalet Hotels Ltd..

Radhika was recognized in Economic Times India’s 40 under 40 Business Leaders in 2015.

She received CNBC-India TV18’s Award for Young Business Woman in 2016 and received the coveted Business Today’s India’s Most Powerful Women award for three consecutive years in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Radhika has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Brasenose College, University of Oxford (2000) and an MBA from the Harvard Business School (2006). She is a Fellow of the seventh class of the Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global

Leadership Network. She is one of India’s few openly lesbian business leaders and a prominent speaker on LGBTQ+ inclusion. She and her wife divide their time between Mumbai and London. In her spare time, Radhika enjoys travel, books, walks and time with dogs.
